Larry Korn, Keynote Speaker, 5-9-81

Larry Korn was the keynote speaker at both the Interior Region and Maritime Region permaculture conferences. He spoke on the potential for adapting Masanobu Fukuoka's natural farming philosophy and Bill Mollison's permaculture techniques to the Pacific Northwest.

Anya Woestwin Plant Species Index Workshop - 5-9-81

Anya Woestwin presented her Plant Species Index during a workshop at the Maritime Northwest Permaculture Conference. The Index become one of the primary sections of the book, "The Future Is Abundant," which was published in July, 1982 by the Tilth Association.

Sego Jackson, Maritime Permaculture Conference - 5-9-81

Sego Jackson was one of the key organizers of the Northwest Permaculture Conferences. In 1983 he helped establish the Permaculture Institute of North America, which hosted the PINA successfully hosted the 2nd International Permaculture Conference in 1986, and started the Permaculture Activist Newsletter.
