Driving /Rideshare

We encourage you to carpool!  Sharing rides saves money, parking space, and cuts down on our environmental impact.  It's also a fabulous way to start making connections with fellow herb growers and enthusiasts.  Follow this link to post your ride offered or sign up for an open seat in someone else's car.

Coming from the north. Take highway 20 down Whidbey Island from the north. Stop and check out the Deception Pass Bridge if you haven’t been there before.  Take the Coupeville/Port Townsend ferry.  (it used to be more correctly called the Keystone/Port Townsend ferry. It is advised to buy a ticket on-line ahead of time.

Coming from the east. If you have to come through the Seattle area you can take either the Edmonds-Kingston ferry (north of Seattle) or the Bainbridge Island ferry which departs from Seattle’s downtown ferry terminal.

Coming from South of Olympia on I-5. It is an easy 2-hour drive from Olympia to Port Townsend coming up highway 101 on the west side of Puget Sound. Very little traffic for the most part.

If coming through Tacoma it is easiest to take the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and then Highway 16 to Bremerton and work your way north.

Coming from the west (through Port Angeles). Drive east on 101, Take a left on highway 20 at the bottom of Discovery Bay.

Coming from Vancouver Island.  You have the choice of the Port Angeles Ferry or the more circuitous Victoria to San Juan Islands/Anacortes Ferry after which there is a one hour drive to the Coupeville/Port Townsend ferry.
