The Fairy & Human Relations Congress initially started in the early 1950’s in England with Daphne Charters. The first Congress in the US was held at Skalitude in the Pacific Northwest in 2001. It has been an annual event ever since. Through the years, we have been joined by Peter Tompkins (Secret Life of Plants), Findhorn co-founders Dorothy Maclean and David Spangler, and teachers in the Celtic Faery tradition RJ Stewart, Caitlín Matthews and Orion Foxwood. We are also joined by flower essence specialists, animal and plant communicators, shamanic practitioners and herbalists, wildcrafters, fairy seers, intuitives, geomancers, Bards and Druids, and Native American storytellers.
“The Fairy Congress is not a New Age forum event. It’s about Doing, Joining, Sharing, looking to the future. In a collapsing world economy, Fairy Congress gives us an idea of another way of living, another way of thinking. Some of it comes from ancestral wisdom, some from new human visions of departing from the greed of commercial modernism. Fairy Congress is an Idealist event, a Visionary event, and an event buoyant with hope and friendship.”
- RJ Stewart, author of 41 books on Celtic, Magical, and Faery traditions
“The Fairy Congress reminds us in deep and important ways that we share this world with other sentient beings, both seen and unseen. In the midst of global environmental challenges when for our own survival we as human beings are called to rethink our behavior on the earth and renew our partnership with nature, such reminding is essential. The Congress gives an opportunity to participate in envisioning and building a healthier and more holistic world.”
- David Spangler, teacher of Incarnational Spirituality and author of Subtle Worlds and Facing the Future
“I simply loved how everything worked in ways so true to the form and substance of the etheric elemental world: everything happened at the right time; needs met; people intersecting and connecting right on cue; the animals, plants and elements exuding and extending a great...intimacy. It let the star and spirit beings of the higher worlds draw closer to us.”
- Donna La Pré, Flower Essence Maker and 2009 Presenter
“I would have to describe this weekend as life changing. It has given me back my sense of purpose, direction and connection to all things. The atmosphere of gentle kindness provided me with a chance to slow down, shift consciousness and trust again.”
- Sheila Grace
“The 10th Annual Fairy Congress was my first experience with all the amazing conscious beings joyfully celebrating life in community. I was blown away by the excellent workshops and heart felt interactions of the participants. The quality of the conversations was of the highest caliber. It was wonderful to be in the company of so many loving people. My kids also loved it. We will be back again next year.”
- Pete Weaver
“I love the mission of the Fairy Congress. It's a living connection to the sentient presence of the land, and the role and purpose of caretakers. There's immense work being done here. It brings me back.”
- Orion Foxwood, Witch and Elder in the Romano Celtic-Traditional Craft, High Priest in Alexandrian Wicca and teacher of the Faery Seership tradition.
“Thank you for three days filled with beauty, joy and many sacred moments.”
- Maggie Hamilton, Australian teacher and author
“I met SO many wonderful people! And deepened friendships I already had. As a healer it was a welcome opportunity to be in small setting with dozens of other healers, many who practiced other modalities than my own. It opened me up a bit and I believe created a bridge between the energies that we carry.”
- Tasara, Shamanic Healer
“My connection and understanding of nature spirits and the unseen realms makes quantum leaps at each and every Congress. Several people told me "This weekend changed my life." That's what it's all about.”
- Mary J. Getten, Animal Communicator
